Our Services

Sawtooth Epidemiology & Infectious Diseases is pleased to bring comprehensive infectious disease care to the Treasure Valley. We care for patients at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise and Meridian, St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, and provide consultations at our office in downtown Boise.

  • Infection Control

Utilizing their expertise in infectious disease and epidemiology, our providers chair the Infection Control committees as both St. Lukes Health System and St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Centers. Leading initiatives to prevent the spread of infectious diseases among patients and employees within the healthcare setting is vital and Sawtooth physicians are proud to be leading that effort.

  • Phlebotomy

Venipuncture or peripheral IV blooddraws can be conveniently drawn at our clinic. The Sawtooth Care Team closely monitors the labwork to effectively manage antibiotic administration and reduce risk of medication toxicity.

  • Chronic Infectious Disease Management

Ongoing supervision of chronic conditions such as Hepatitis B & C, can be managed through our outpatient clinic. Routine visits and prescription therapy are managed by the Sawtooth Care Team.

  • Diagnosis of Acute and Complex Infections

Our providers are highly trained and specialize in identifying appropriate treatment regimens for complicated infections of the skin, sinuses, brain, heart, lungs, urinary tract, bowel, pelvic organs, bones, joints, bloodstream and other body tissues caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.

  • Infusion Therapy

We provide comprehensive antibiotic infusion therapy in our outpatient clinic. The Sawtooth Care Team includes a physician, an infusion nurse practitioner, and a medical assistant that work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive initial assessment and customized treatment plans tailored to the individual patient’s need. We monitor labwork to assess treatment efficacy, tolerability and reduce risk of side effects.
